600 W Jefferson Street installing statue in planter

Applicant Jacqueline Romo of Miranda Construction LLC will place a statue of Alberta O. Jones inside a planter in front of the Hall of Justice; the site, owned by Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government, is at 600 W Jefferson St. Crews will excavate the tree in the planter, form and pour a column pier for the statue, fence the work area, bag meters and post sidewalk-closure signs. The work is scheduled Monday–Friday, May 4–8, with the statue install set for May 8.
