801 S CLAY ST encroachment permit requested for water main installation

Louisville Water Company (LWC) is set to install a new water main and has an encroachment permit for work on Lampton Road between S Clay St and Shelby St that touches 801 S Clay St, owned by Shirley Simpson. The project—contracted to Excel Excavating—includes one pavement cut about 520' x 5', a temporary road closure (streets will be plated and reopened at the end of each shift), is scheduled roughly 05/03/2026–06/20/2026, and LWC says nearby residents and city agencies were notified in advance.
