MetroSafe/DoIT, working with Hutchins Telecom, plans to install a solar camera pole and remove-and-restore an 8' x 5' concrete sidewalk panel at 217 E Chestnut St (owner University of Louisville), requiring a curb lane and sidewalk closure and a small excavation scheduled for April 9–16, 2026. Affected residents will be notified in person one week before work and given a dated door hanger at the property; contacts listed include Chris Seidt (MetroSafe) and Scott Heun (Hutchins), and the permit fees for this Metrosafe project have been waived.
