233 Pope St encroachment permit submitted for lead replacement project

Louisville Water Company (applicant Chance Shely) is doing a lead service-line replacement at 233 Pope St for owner Crentals LLC, scheduled April 5–May 1, 2026. Crews will close a lane and the sidewalk between Embry Ave and Brownsboro Rd, plating the road and reopening it at the end of each shift while making a single 4' x 5' pavement cut on the east side; restoration will follow LMPW utility policy. Project manager Joseph Sloan and contractor Basham Construction are overseeing the job, and residents were notified on March 30, 2026.
