101 S 8TH ST encroachment permit issued for lane and sidewalk closures

Louisville Water (applicant Brad Walter McBride) will close the northbound curb and driving lane on the east side of S 8th Street between Roy Wilkins and 7th Street Road to repair a fire service at 101 S 8th Street; the property is owned by Calella LLC and the work is scheduled March 11, 2026 to April 5, 2026. Crews will make one 5x5 street cut and one 5x5 sidewalk cut, use flaggers and plate the road at the end of each shift so traffic can resume, post six no-parking signs, remove utility markings, and restore the site per Louisville Metro Public Works policy (project manager Clay Robinson, 502-919-2891).
