3229 W Muhammad Ali Blvd encroachment permit issued for lane/sidewalk closure

Mac Construction for Louisville Metro Government is managing a street conversion project along Muhammad Ali Boulevard between Southwestern and 8th Street that touches 3229 W Muhammad Ali Blvd. The work for owner Louisville & Jefferson County Landbank includes lane and sidewalk closures—with brief 10–15 minute temporary road closures to run an overhead cable—and will reconfigure Chestnut Street/River Park Drive from one-way to two-way, plus updates to signals, pavement markings, signage and minor intersection realignments to improve pedestrian mobility and safety. A restoration plan has been submitted.
