1140 W CHESTNUT ST encroachment permit to close eastbound curb lane

Louisville Gas and Electric (applicant Kaitlyn Downs) has an emergency encroachment permit to close the southernmost eastbound curb lane on W Chestnut Street between S 13th Street and the 12th Street Connector to access and clean out one manhole at 1140 W Chestnut St. The Board of Education is listed as the property owner, the work is scheduled Feb. 25–Mar. 18, 2026, no pavement cuts are planned, and project engineer Justin Malloy is the contact—so expect a temporary lane squeeze rather than a big dig.
