9908 Fairmount Rd encroachment permit submitted for MSD Force Main Phase 2

Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District has hired MAC Construction & Excavating, Inc. to install part of a new 20-inch ductile iron force main near 9908 Fairmount Rd (owner: Walker Edgar E.) as part of the Fairmount Rd Pump Station Force Main Extension Phase 2. Fairmount Road between 9908 Fairmount Rd and Old Bardstown Rd will be closed to through traffic while crews cut the eastbound asphalt, dig a trench that runs about 75 feet then angles into the grassy shoulder, and then backfill, reseed, and fully restore the pavement; work is scheduled from March 28 to May 30, 2026.
