120 N 2ND ST encroachment permit issued for road closure 2/18/26-3/18/26

Louisville Gas & Electric Company is planning underground electrical work at 120 N 2nd St, with work on N 2nd between W Main St and W Washington St and a road closure scheduled from Feb. 18 to March 18, 2026. The project for property owner Louisville Arena Authority Inc calls for one 3' x 250' asphalt cut and one 3' x 25' cut to install underground electrical; cuts will be restored under the LMPW restoration policy and LGE will recess the plates. This continues a previously issued permit and the cuts still need to be made, so expect some temporary disruption on the block while crews finish up.
