7601 Vaughn Mill Rd encroachment permit issued for gas service work

Louisville Gas and Electric (applicant Kaitlyn Downs) is planning gas work on Vaughn Mill Road between Outer Loop and Apple Mill Drive at 7601 Vaughn Mill Rd, on property owned by Louisville Vaughn Mill LLC. They're requesting closures of the north- and south-bound curb lanes to perform two 3' x 5' dirt cuts—not done at the same time—to install a new gas service, with cuts to be restored under the LMPW utility restoration policy; the work is scheduled Feb. 20–Mar. 20, 2026, is a continuation of an earlier permit, and hasn't started yet (project engineer Jason Owens is listed as the contact).
