500 S 4TH ST Encroachment permit requested for crane inspection at Seelbach

Merrick-Kemper is bringing a 75-ton crane to inspect a damaged/leaking 10th-floor cornice at the Seelbach Hotel, 500 South 4th Street. The one-day encroachment is planned for Saturday, March 28, 2026 (about 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), will impact both lanes of South 4th between Muhammad Ali Blvd and Guthrie St plus the sidewalk and bagged meters, and RB Seelbach LLC is the property owner; Merrick-Kemper says there will be no digging and any sidewalk damage will be replaced with a full slab.
