810 E Broadway encroachment permit issued for lane and sidewalk closures

Louisville Gas and Electric is headed to 810 E Broadway (owned by Aeon Properties LLC) to do utility work on E Broadway between S Shelby Street and Logan Street. The project, starting 02/10/2026 and running through 03/10/2026, calls for closing the southernmost eastbound curb lane and the southernmost sidewalk to install a new pole and perform related excavation and line transfer work. The record notes pole removal and transfers will be coordinated through the National Joint Utilities Notification System (NJUNS), and any sidewalk panel that’s cut or removed must be replaced in full between expansion joints.
