444 South 5th Street Encroachment Permit for LGE gas work and lane closure

Louisville Gas and Electric is set to do gas-scout work that will close the westernmost northbound lane on South 5th Street in front of 444 South 5th Street. Applicant Kaitlyn Downs (LGE) lists project engineer David Paulley as the contact, the City of Louisville Public Properties is the owner, and work is scheduled from February 3 to March 3, 2026. Trucks will be parked in the lane and meters will be bagged; there are no planned cuts or excavations and the encroachment permit has been issued.
