236 E Muhammad Ali Blvd encroachment permit to close westbound curb lanes

Louisville Gas and Electric is planning underground electrical work at 236 E Muhammad Ali Blvd for UofL Health Louisville Inc., accessing eight manholes and bagging nearby meters while crews are on site. The project will close the westbound curb lanes between S 1st Street and the I‑65 exit ramp (not a full road closure) from Jan. 27 to Apr. 21, 2026, with no street cuts and crews scheduled so work won’t be done concurrently across multiple spots.
