1000 E Kentucky St encroachment permit to close northbound curb lane

Louisville Gas and Electric, via applicant Kaitlyn Downs, plans to close the northbound curb lane on Swan Street near 1000 E Kentucky St to install main gas service lines, making two asphalt cuts (one 5' x 40' and one 8' x 260')—so expect some temporary lane changes. The work is scheduled Jan. 23–Mar. 31, 2026, will be restored under LMPW’s utility restoration policy with LGE plates to be reassessed, the property owner is Kentucky Swan Trust, and this continues an earlier permit though work has not yet started.
