120 N 2ND ST: LGE filed for road closure and two asphalt cuts for UG electrical

Louisville Gas & Electric Company is set to install underground electrical lines on N 2nd Street at 120 N 2nd Street for owner Louisville Arena Authority Inc., and the city has approved closing the road between W Main Street and W Washington Street to get the work done. The job runs Jan. 21–Feb. 18, 2026 and includes two asphalt cuts (about 3' x 230' and 3' x 25'); LGE will recess plates and the cuts will be restored under the Louisville Metro Public Works restoration policy — contacts listed are Derek Wilkins and project engineer Justin Malloy.
