1629 Texas Ave issued encroachment permit to close curb lane and replace poles
Louisville Gas & Electric Company (applicant Derek Wilkins) will be doing utility work at 1629 Texas Ave, replacing 12 poles along Texas Ave between Alexander Ave and E Burnett Ave. The project runs Jan. 7 through April 30, 2026, and will close the southbound curb lane and the westernmost sidewalk (no full road closure or street cuts); pole removal and line transfers will be coordinated through the National Joint Utilities Notification System and restorations will follow the LMPW Restoration Policy.
