1629 Texas Ave issued encroachment permit to close curb lane and replace poles

Louisville Gas & Electric Company (applicant Derek Wilkins) will be doing utility work at 1629 Texas Ave, replacing 12 poles along Texas Ave between Alexander Ave and E Burnett Ave. The project runs Jan. 7 through April 30, 2026, and will close the southbound curb lane and the westernmost sidewalk (no full road closure or street cuts); pole removal and line transfers will be coordinated through the National Joint Utilities Notification System and restorations will follow the LMPW Restoration Policy. The property is owned by Barbara V. Kerins.
