500 E Gray St encroachment permit issued for S Jackson St lane/sidewalk closures

Team Fishel and Messer Construction are planning a curb lane, driving lane and sidewalk closure on S Jackson St near 500 E Gray St to install new fiber as part of the U of L Science Building work; the owner is Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government. The short-term mobile operation is scheduled for Dec. 22–29, 2025, will close lanes from 501 E Broadway to 500 E Gray St to run fiber to 418 E Chestnut St, requires no excavation or restoration, and affected residents will be notified in person with dated door hangers one week before work.
