500 E Gray St Encroachment permit issued for fiber work on S Jackson St

Team Fishel, working with Messer Construction and applicant Chris Lindsey, is planning short-term curb, driving-lane, and sidewalk closures on S Jackson St to remove overlashed fiber and overlash new fiber — the work affects the block from 500 E Gray St to 501 E Broadway and also includes placing new aerial fiber between 430 E Gray St and 418 E Chestnut St. The work is scheduled for 12/22/2025–12/29/2025, will be a mobile operation with short-term flagging rather than a full road closure, owner Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government notes no restoration is planned, and residents will be notified in person a week before with dated door hangers where needed.
