550 W Kentucky St Encroachment Permit Issued for sidewalk repair

AllTerrain Paving and Construction, working with Metro DOT, has an encroachment permit to repair the severely damaged sidewalk at 550 W Kentucky St., on the west side of Ida B. Wells Hall owned by Simmons College of Kentucky. The continuation of Phase 1 will block the sidewalk and a curb lane between Kentucky and Zane while crews remove the old concrete and install a new 98' x 12' sidewalk, add a header curb, and plant two new tree wells, with work planned from 12/08/2025 to 12/22/2025 and kept within the public right-of-way.
