624 W Muhammad Ali Blvd encroachment permit: LGE electric work, sidewalk closure

Louisville Gas & Electric Company has an issued encroachment permit to perform underground electrical work in an existing sidewalk vault at 624 W Muhammad Ali Blvd, a property owned by Independence Television Co. They’ve applied to park in the southernmost westbound curb lane and to close the southernmost sidewalk while crews work from December 3–31, 2025. No pavement cuts or excavation are required, so expect lane and sidewalk impacts for a few weeks but not major street digging.
