511 S Floyd St encroachment permit in progress for rooftop AC replacement
Sterett Crane will close both lanes of Floyd Street between Muhammad Ali and Abraham Flexner at 511 S Floyd St on 11/15/2025 to lift and replace a nonworking rooftop AC unit on the University of Louisville Medical Dental Research Building. The owner is the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and Sterett Crane says crews will use flaggers and sidewalk escorts for pedestrian traffic and will restore the roadway after the work—so expect brief delays while the crane is in action.
