101 E MAIN ST Encroachment Permit for Sidewalk Closure on N. Brook

Abel Construction (applicant Amity DeLisi) will close a portion of the sidewalk next to the Humana Building at 101 E Main St, owned by Humana Inc., to test an inflatable Damit flood barrier required by MSD. Traffic control goes up Friday morning with the closure starting at noon on Friday, November 21, 2025 and everything picked up by 8 a.m. Sunday, November 23, 2025; a separate permit also covers a short E. Washington closure in front of the Humana Building. Abel says businesses on E. Washington will get physical notices and emails will go to Metro Safe, TARC, JCPS, Metro Council members, Downtown Development and KYTC.
