818 S Floyd St encroachment permit issued for LPR camera installation

Flock Safety is installing one solar-powered LPR (license-plate-reading) camera and Flock pole for LMPD on the verge between the road and sidewalk at 818 S Floyd St, a property owned by Athens Commercial Door & Harware Inc. The work is scheduled 05/26/2025–07/18/2025, will involve a small excavation with two 2' x 2' street cuts and techs parking in the nearby lot at 300 E College St, and the plan notes no lane or sidewalk closures while a site-specific traffic-control and restoration plan is on file.
