700 W Liberty Street encroachment permit issued for ALPR camera installation

Flock Safety, working for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, is installing one solar-powered ALPR (automatic license-plate reader) camera on an existing traffic-signal pole at the southwest corner of S. 8th Street and W. Liberty Street — the work is on Metro-owned property at 700 W Liberty Street (owner: Louisville & Jefferson County MSD). The project is scheduled between 8/20/2024 and 9/20/2024 with short sidewalk and curb-lane closures expected; there’s no excavation or restoration required and crews will park off-street.
