A Durham resident says the stop sign at 2518 Chapel Hill Rd is hidden by a bend
The stop sign at Chapel Hill Road and McGehee St is giving drivers a surprise on the curve, at least one resident says.
They say northbound traffic sometimes has to “panic stop” because the sign is hidden by the bend, and the Stop Ahead sign is partly covered by foliage.
That resident even asked for a back-side stop sign on the other side of the road, and the city marked the request completed.
