960 S 6TH ST Code Violation for graffiti in historic district

Housing Authority of Louisville is named in an open property-maintenance case after white paint was used to cover graffiti on a small front retaining wall and red paint was used to partially cover graffiti on the house at 960 South 6th Street. Inspectors say those quick paint-overs don’t follow historic-district guidelines, so the cover-ups are considered illegal alterations. The case remains open while the city and owner work out a plan to remedy the violation in a way that respects the historic district.
