114 N GALT AVE Open code violation for unfinished street sewer repair project

Owners Kaviar Craig A and Frances E. Weinstock say crews began repairing the sewer line on 114 N Galt Ave about three months ago but pulled out a month ago, leaving equipment and four heavy metal plates over a large hole. They report gaps between the plates that make the street thunder when cars pass and fear a vehicle could fall in; the Sewer Department says it’s not their project, Public Works hasn’t returned calls, and residents have asked for an investigation and plan to call 311.
