5900 Global Distribution Way building permit submitted for commercial alteration

Miranda Construction LLC is moving forward with a commercial alteration at 5900 Global Distribution Way for owner Haier US Appliance Solutions Inc. Called the GE Nexus Project and estimated at $5,000,000, the interior remodel will reconfigure the factory for new manufacturing equipment—removing existing crane rails for new structural columns, pouring reinforced foundations at 14 equipment locations, infilling the basement with #57 stone and a new slab—and add new tornado-shelter restrooms, an infirmary, and an office block while bringing existing shelter restrooms up to code.
