Rent A Tent has applied to pitch two tents totaling 1,300 square feet at 231 E Witherspoon St for Loco Engines on the TurfMutt Foundation Great Lawn, with Parking Authority of River City Inc listed as owner. The temporary shelter is slated to be set up May 14 and taken down May 17, 2026, will hold about 24 people, and notes seating, four designated exits, flame-resistant materials, and no cooking, heating, or electrical service.
The city has not published a date for when this began.
