4200 River Rd building permit issued for 2 tents for 2026 Boat Race Party

M-R Distributing Service Inc will erect two party tents for the Louisville Boat Club’s 2026 Boat Race Party at 4200 River Rd from April 26–30, 2026, covering about 5,200 square feet and seating roughly 450 people. The permit spells out safety rules — tents must sit clear of lot lines and vehicles, have marked exits and 44-inch clear aisles, use flame‑resistant materials, ban smoking and combustible stuffing, prohibit fuel heaters, and require a separate permit for any electrical work.
