217 Smithfield Rd building permit submitted for retaining wall

SLAT HOUSE 217 LLC has submitted a retaining wall permit for 217 Smithfield Road to build a rebar-reinforced, concrete-formed wall along the rear yard. The 1-foot-wide wall will have drainage holes and a 24-inch footer toe kick, will vary in height up to 8 feet, and will enclose roughly 4,017 square feet while staying 8 feet from the northeast rear line, 6 feet from the southeast side, and 7.5 feet from the northwest side per MSD’s request. The project is estimated at $40,000, and the application notes an email asking for a completed affidavit and an erosion prevention and sediment control (EPSC) plan to finish the review.
