1150 S 28TH ST applied for asbestos abatement permit
Louisville & Jefferson County Landbank has applied for an asbestos abatement permit for the Ashanti Building at 1150 S 28th St., a vacant two‑story, 3,000‑square‑foot former public building being prepped for demolition. Green City Demolition will remove about 3,362 sq ft of floor tile and mastic using hand tools and wet-method abatement from April 21 to June 21, 2026, hauling roughly 40 cubic yards of waste to Rumpke Sanitary Landfill.
