724 S 44TH ST environmental permit for tile and mastic removal

ROMAC Inc. will perform asbestos abatement at the Westover Campus Annex, 724 S 44th St, for owner Simmons College of Kentucky Inc, removing about 7,900 square feet of floor tile and mastic from the first and second floors. The project is scheduled for March 16–June 30, 2026, and will use wet methods, negative pressure, and critical barriers to keep the work contained; waste is planned for WM - Outer Loop Landfill with roughly 10 cubic yards to be disposed at project end. Trained supervisors Joseph Webster and John Fulkerson will oversee the job, and the contractor is operating under a renovation abatement permit and required notifications.
