811 N 27TH ST applied for Non-Friable asbestos abatement permit

Louisville Gas & Electric Co has a non-friable asbestos abatement permit for the Ohio Falls Hydro Electric facility at 811 N 27th Street. The Non-Friable Blanket permit lets crews remove up to 3,000 linear or square feet of non-friable asbestos during sudden, unexpected events (with no more than 260 LF/SF per individual project), covers the entire five-story, 25,000 square-foot site, and requires monthly removal reports. Work is scheduled from January 1 to December 31, 2026, with InCorp Industries, LLC as the abatement contractor and Waste Management (WM Outer Loop Landfill) handling disposal — basically a standing, on-call plan for surprise asbestos finds at the plant.
