Jefferson County Public Schools has filed an asbestos abatement permit to remove floor tile, adhesive mastic, and some wallboard glue dots from five adjacent offices in the main office complex at 7601 St Andrews Church Rd. The work — scheduled for 12/22/2025–12/30/2025 and contracted to RH Environmental with owner Jefferson County School District Fin — will use non‑friable wet methods, HEPA vacuums, and sealed bag‑and‑dump disposal to WM Outer Loop Landfill, affecting the Academic Coach and Mental Health offices plus three currently unoccupied rooms.
