1445 Hemlock St applied for asbestos permit
Louisville & Jefferson County Landbank is moving forward with an emergency asbestos-related demolition at 1445 Hemlock St, a vacant two-story former residence built in 1935 (about 1,573 sq ft). Aesthetic Industrial Contracting, Inc. is slated to work from 11/24/2025 to 12/24/2025 under a permit that allows regulated asbestos-containing material (RACM) to remain in place during teardown — crews must minimize disturbance, keep materials wet, containerize and promptly dispose of debris (about 10 cu. yd. daily) at WM Outer Loop Landfill, and avoid track vehicles on demolition piles.
