3413 LARKWOOD AVE applied for asbestos permit for emergency demolition

An Emergency Order Demolition is planned at 3413 Larkwood Ave for the Mamie E. Shipp Estate, a vacant two-story former residence (built 1920, about 1,664 sq ft) with work scheduled from roughly 10/30/2025 to 11/30/2025. Because regulated asbestos-containing material (RACM) is present, the asbestos permit allows RACM to remain in place during demolition but requires the contractor, Aesthetic Industrial Contracting, Inc., to minimize disturbance, keep materials wet, containerize and promptly dispose of debris, and avoid tracked vehicles on the rubble. Waste will be hauled to WM Outer Loop Landfill and all demolition debris must be treated as RACM, so this will be a carefully managed teardown rather than a quick, messy demo.
