4540 W Broadway applied for a Certificate of Appropriateness

Directions Apts LLC, with applicant Brian Hoehn of Hooker DeJong, Inc., has filed for a Certificate of Appropriateness to rehabilitate the historic 4540 W. Broadway apartment building on the corner of Southwestern Parkway and W. Broadway in the Chickasaw Historic District. The three-story, H‑plan, 24-unit building will see mostly in-kind exterior repairs (brick and mortar and shingles only as needed), retention of existing gutters, full replacement of windows with wood-clad, double-hung Sun Architectural Traditional units (dark exterior, white interior), new insulated steel entry doors to match surrounding materials, and new condensers in the rear, with the project estimated at $5,813,850.
